![]() Why it’s like The Terminal List: Navy SEALs and CIA aren’t really similar, but the plot for the main characters are similar. The delicate dance these two complex characters perform, built on lies, suspicion, and desire, is at the heart of this gripping, emotional thriller in which nothing short of the fate of our nation is at stake.” CIA officer Carrie Mathison is tops in her field despite being bipolar. Marine Sergeant Nicholas Brody is both a decorated hero and a serious threat. Synopsis: “The winner of 6 Emmy Awards including Outstanding Drama Series, Homeland is an edge-of-your-seat sensation. There’s love, sorrow, grief, friendship, and a whole lot of killing. The show is very well written, brutal, and does a great job at representing all the horrors of such a line of work – even if you’re the good guys. Why it’s like The Terminal List: Section 20 is a special operations team that deals with the most dangerous missions, much like James Reece’s SEAL team in The Terminal List. Scott and Stonebridge eagerly chase Latif, the Pakistani Al-Qaeda mastermind behind many terrorist crimes, but also other rogue threats to peace.” Synopsis: “The flashy adventures, all over the world, of British secret service MI6’s dashing special ops team Section 20’s fearless hotshots. This show is a classic for a reason, and I had to find room for it on the list. However, if you expect some great humor in a not-so-humorous setting, you’re in for a treat. If you’re expecting tension, distress, and horror, this one is not for you. They do their best to present it in a lighthearted, satirical way, which is probably why people loved it so much when the show premiered. Why it’s like The Terminal List: M*A*S*H is actually quite different from The Terminal List in terms of the overall tone of the series. Fond of practical jokes and revenge, the doctors, nurses, administrators, and soldiers often find ways of making wartime life bearable. With little help from the circumstance in which they find themselves, they are forced to make their own fun. Synopsis: “The 4077th Mobile Army Surgical Hospital is stuck in the middle of the Korean War. I was impressed with it and enjoyed every thrilling moment.1. If I could compare it, the show is similar in tone to the Taken films, but instead of a rescue, it is about revenge. I would be remiss if I did not mention JD Pardo, who portrayed FBI Agent Tony Layun as a resilient law enforcement official tracking Reece and I really enjoyed his character.Īt times, the show did feel a bit rushed, but it never loses its focus, felt off-kilter, or engaged in mindless woke politics. Jai Courtney, Sean Gunn, and Jeanne Tripplehorn appear throughout the show and turn out incredible performances. ![]() This was honestly the most unrealistic part of the show. Constance Wu was excellent in portraying a journalist and how they should conduct themselves professionally. He was serious, brutal, and brought on the rage that poured out of the novel’s pages. With this in mind, Pratt pulls out all of the stops for the role. No surprise, a young Chuck Norris was the first actor I pictured while reading the book. It is a shame that they are not putting the same level of care into their Middle Earth projects.Īdmittedly, Chris Pratt was not the first person I pictured James Reece. I thought it did a good job of translating parts of the books and while it somewhat tweaked the climax, I still thought it was satisfactory. So I was excited to hear that Amazon Studios was making an adaption with Pratt producing and starring. I read the novel that this show is based on and I thought it was compelling. When his family is killed, Reece engages in a one-man war against those who betrayed him even after a brain injury seems to be affecting his judgment. After Boozer dies in an apparent suicide, NCIS raises questions about the operation, seemingly blaming his team for the set-up. ![]() After dismissing reporter Katie Buranek ( Constance Wu), he arrives back in the USA to a sympathetic wife Lauren ( Riley Keough), daughter Lucy (Arlo Mertz), and former SEAL friend Ben ( Taylor Kitsch). Commander James Reece ( Chris Pratt) is serving overseas when he and his teammates are caught in a trap, leaving just himself and his pal Boozer (Jared Shaw) alive. ![]() It was released on Prime Video with Chris Pratt serving as an executive producer. THE TERMINAL LIST TV SHOW SERIES‘ The Terminal List‘ is an action-thriller series created by David DiGilio and based on a novel by Jack Carr. ![]()
